Moussa Kabre hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel got control of the ball when Ricardo Custódio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardo Custódio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dida Taffarel came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricardo Custódio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the MINEIROS defense, Alfredo Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thommy Jadis. The MINEIROS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thommy Jadis should have stopped the shot. Thommy Jadis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Vizitiu made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Murilo Hoffmann immediately put the ball in play. When Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MINEIROS's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's Smail Larbi got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Valentin Vizitiu got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by German Cano. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Maradona was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Marquês de Herval booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Heidemann didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marquês de Herval's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. 71 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Martins came free, but Thommy Jadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thommy Jadis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 73rd minute of the match. 73 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Marquês de Herval made a substitution. Jair Bostan replaced Selami Rezan. Marquês de Herval's Acácio Cunha was substituted for Valentin Vizitiu. After 77 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Cunha. The corner was taken by Gao Xiang Guang in the 97th minute.
