Edson Bertassi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Germán Cano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's Germán Cano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edson Bertassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Carrapichel - FDFDF's Acácio Neto got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Claudinei Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Germán Cano got free with Edson Bertassi in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Germán Cano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Edson Bertassi made a huge save. A collision led to Carrapichel - FDFDF getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Beto Cavalcante hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Bebeto Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edson Bertassi had great luck who in the 33rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Claudinei Tasso from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 33rd match minute, Carrapichel - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Váldson Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Germán Cano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edson Bertassi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Edson Bertassi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germán Cano in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Germán Cano managed to get in a good position for a shot. 27 de Mayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Germán Cano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edson Bertassi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinei Tasso made a kick off. Edmílson Mattos lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 54th minute, one of 27 de Mayo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 27 de Mayo. The goalkeeper, Rogério Soberano, was totally fooled by Carrapichel - FDFDF's Rogério Alcântara, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Claudinei Tasso scored 4-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edson Bertassi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edson Bertassi came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by 27 de Mayo's Ernani Vargas. But to his dismay, Ernani Vargas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. A collision led to Carrapichel - FDFDF getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Abel de Barros hit a great ball. 27 de Mayo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
