It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 15th minute, but Rogério Soberano got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving 27 de Mayo hanging dry this time. After 16 played minutes 27 de Mayo got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Gaúcho. Zé Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germán Cano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Tasso in the 21st minute of play. Claudinei Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Inazuma Japan getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Enrique Tinoco hit a great ball. Zé Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germán Cano in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinei Tasso to make the kick off. With a little luck, Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira got control of the ball when Claudinei Tasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zé Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germán Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Zé Vieira came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by 27 de Mayo's Germán Cano. But to his dismay, Germán Cano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 56 minutes, Enrique Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inazuma Japan and the 27 de Mayo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Enrique Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germán Cano in the 57th minute of play forced Inazuma Japan's goalkeeper Zé Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Tasso in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Enrique Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Vieira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Germán Cano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Zé Vieira made a huge save. Ernani Vargas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Zé Vieira made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Germán Cano sent off a good shot on target. When 27 de Mayo's Germán Cano in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Inazuma Japan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Bebeto Branco scored to the left of an out of position Zé Vieira, making the score, 0-3. Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Inazuma Japan from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Germán Cano managed to get in a good position for a shot. 27 de Mayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Germán Cano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. 27 de Mayo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
