An unexpectedly hard shot by Pranas Užkuraitis in the 19th minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Thommy Jadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC St. Pauli booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of MINEIROS's goalie and right to José Maria Ceresso. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bon Čáp in the 95th minute of play forced FC St. Pauli's goalkeeper Serginho Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The MINEIROS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC St. Pauli's performance. The match ended with a win for FC St. Pauli.
