The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toninho Madureira was the one to do the kick off. Zé Recife hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Betão de Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute, Frederico Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in S.E. Cachoeirinha's zone, Édouard Deloge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão de Amaral came out of the goal and Édouard Deloge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Recife hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. BOTAFOGO fully deserved thier win.
