The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matias Santikurtz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Alfonso Taraborrelli made a huge save. Alfonso Taraborrelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Santikurtz in the 7th minute of the match. Marcus Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matias Santikurtz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Alfonso Taraborrelli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save BOTAFOGO from getting a goal against them. Dorian Soeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho Madureira went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Primatas FC's Dorian Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaanek Oese in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Kauan Melo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorian Soeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dorian Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho Madureira in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Jaanek Oese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primatas FC's Dorian Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Madureira in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Primatas FC defense, Toninho Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dorian Soeiro. The Primatas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dorian Soeiro should have stopped the shot. Dorian Soeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaanek Oese went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. With a little luck, BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli got control of the ball when Matias Santikurtz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Primatas FC's Matias Santikurtz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 42 minutes into the match, BOTAFOGO's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Santikurtz came free, but Alfonso Taraborrelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gildo da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Alfonso Taraborrelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, BOTAFOGO's goalkeeper Alfonso Taraborrelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matias Santikurtz. Alfonso Taraborrelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Santikurtz's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Jerônimo Guerra hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Santikurtz in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Taraborrelli saved BOTAFOGO from getting behind. BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Santikurtz in the 54th minute of play. When Matias Santikurtz came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Primatas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Santikurtz couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Matias Santikurtz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Taraborrelli was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Alfonso Taraborrelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Santikurtz's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. After 75th play minutes Matias Santikurtz shot 4-4, a short shot which went by Alfonso Taraborrelli and just under the crossbar into goal. After 79 played minutes Primatas FC got a freekick which was hit by Angel-Enrique De La Rosa-Choca. When BOTAFOGO's Toninho Madureira, in the 80th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for BOTAFOGO. Burak Onal hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Burak Onal fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Primatas FC's protests and gave Burak Onal a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Primatas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BOTAFOGO:s goal. When Jaanek Oese came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the BOTAFOGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaanek Oese couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Santikurtz in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfonso Taraborrelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matias Santikurtz struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Alfonso Taraborrelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Primatas FC. After 98 played minutes BOTAFOGO got a freekick which was hit by Nilmar Correia. The Primatas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BOTAFOGO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
