In the 7th minute, André Luís Zanette made a precise shot to the right of Alfonso Taraborrelli. BOTAFOGO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind BOTAFOGO's goalkeeper Alfonso Taraborrelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the match ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ got a corner. BOTAFOGO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robert Serwacki ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of BOTAFOGO's goalie and right to Eugênio Novaes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. BOTAFOGO's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Alfonso Taraborrelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Zanette in the 18th minute of the match. Guilherme Zanette was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Jaanek Oese capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jaanek Oese really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, André Luís Zanette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfonso Taraborrelli. BOTAFOGO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luís Zanette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The audience was convinced that Édouard Deloge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guilherme Zanette was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, BOTAFOGO's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Zanette came free, but Alfonso Taraborrelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s André Luís Zanette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Taraborrelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Édouard Deloge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 50th minute, Thiago Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 51 minutes into the match, BOTAFOGO's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Zanette came free, but Alfonso Taraborrelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 52 minutes into the match, ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s André Luís Zanette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Taraborrelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudinei Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Egon Isaksson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfonso Taraborrelli, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to BOTAFOGO getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Claudinei Sanches hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Egon Isaksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s supporters rose to their feet, but Egon Isaksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Taraborrelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of BOTAFOGO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆:s goal. The goalkeeper, Alfonso Taraborrelli, was totally fooled by ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s André Luís Zanette, who 72 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 75 minutes into the match, André Luís Zanette notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli. Alfonso Taraborrelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 played minutes BOTAFOGO got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Azevedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Zanette in the 81st minute of play forced BOTAFOGO's goalkeeper Alfonso Taraborrelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, BOTAFOGO's Claudinei Sanches got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If André Luís Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the BOTAFOGO defense, André Luís Zanette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfonso Taraborrelli. The BOTAFOGO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfonso Taraborrelli should have stopped the shot. If André Luís Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Zanette in the 88th minute of play forced BOTAFOGO's goalkeeper Alfonso Taraborrelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Taraborrelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Zanette in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, André Luís Zanette ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfonso Taraborrelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. André Luís Zanette's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Taraborrelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
