An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Lesardo in the 17th minute of play forced Apocalipse FC's goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Marcos Rodrigues sped through Alfa FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedrinho de Queirós. Gianluigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson de Souza in the 39th minute of the match. When Gogo Lesardo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Alfa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Lesardo couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the final whistle went the supporters of Apocalipse FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Alfa FC side.
