Esteban Lobo charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteban Lobo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Alfa FC's Esteban Lobo got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 20th minute Tato Vega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Alfa FC booed when Bigode Grosso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gogo Lesardo's late challenge caught a Bigode Grosso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrinho de Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedrinho de Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tato Vega's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Fábio Pontes during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pedrinho de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Andrade in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gogo Lesardo to make the kick off. Pedrinho de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tato Vega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tato Vega did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Pedrinho de Queirós 55 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertinho Andrade got free with Pedrinho de Queirós in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Albertinho Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedrinho de Queirós was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, Albertinho Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bigode Grosso played a much better game than Alfa FC and deserved their victory. The Alfa FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
