Gao Xiang Guang was slow to take the kick. During this time Marquês de Herval's players had a chance to rest. Gao Xiang Guang made a great header on Marquês de Herval's corner, it was just that BRASIL.Sp's Zézinho Dracena managed to reach the ball for a save. Marquês de Herval's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gao Xiang Guang in the 12th minute. After taking down the ball on Marquês de Herval's corner Gao Xiang Guang fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zézinho Dracena quite easily take care of the ball. Zézinho Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Marquês de Herval got a corner. BRASIL.Sp's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gao Xiang Guang ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gao Xiang Guang made a great header on Marquês de Herval's corner, it was just that BRASIL.Sp's Zézinho Dracena managed to reach the ball for a save. Zézinho Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BRASIL.Sp's goalie prevented a goal. Alfredo Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zézinho Dracena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Marquês de Herval booed when BRASIL.Sp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Gonzáles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marquês de Herval's Valentin Vizitiu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Telmo Dante in the 38 minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Alfredo Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zézinho Dracena was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Doriva Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Alfredo Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zézinho Dracena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Jacinto in the 63rd minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquês de Herval's Jair Bostan was substituted for Selami Rezan. Marquês de Herval's Acácio Cunha was substituted for Valentin Vizitiu. Alfredinho de Barros made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Marquês de Herval's Acácio Cunha. Doriva Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcinho Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Alfredo Martins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zézinho Dracena. BRASIL.Sp's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Zézinho Dracena came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins. But to his dismay, Alfredo Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Marquês de Herval eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
