After 6 minutes of play, Caldebrazza's Hugo Lucian made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gláuber Brodel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roch Pliszka in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gláuber Brodel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Morro Grande E.C's Alessandro Linares threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hélder Velasco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Morro Grande E.C's Gláuber Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roch Pliszka in the 24th minute of play. Gláuber Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Hugo Lucian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caldebrazza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Róbson Cearense in the 28th minute. The corner led Caldebrazza's Róbson Cearense to fire away a dangerous shot which Gláuber Brodel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jorge Sá hit a great ball. After 30 minutes of play, Caldebrazza's Zé Roberto Moreno made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alessandro Linares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kaká Sampaio. In the 43rd minute Hugo Lucian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Paulo Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Morro Grande E.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Caldebrazza were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Lucian to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Caldebrazza's Hugo Lucian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gláuber Brodel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Zé Roberto Moreno took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gláuber Brodel. Gláuber Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Caldebrazza made a substitution. Stergios Stefanoulis replaced Hugo Lucian. The crowd rose to their feet as Caldebrazza's Luís Paulo Faria slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gláuber Brodel. That made the score 0-5 after 65 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Morro Grande E.C defense, Zé Roberto Moreno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gláuber Brodel. The Morro Grande E.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gláuber Brodel should have stopped the shot. Gláuber Brodel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stergios Stefanoulis in the 71st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Stergios Stefanoulis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gláuber Brodel. That made the score 0-8 in the 81 minute of play. Gláuber Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stergios Stefanoulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute, Stergios Stefanoulis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caldebrazza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. With a little luck, Morro Grande E.C's Gláuber Brodel got control of the ball when Roch Pliszka tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christiano Trevisan's late challenge caught a Caldebrazza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christiano Trevisan helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Morro Grande E.C got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Trevisan. Alessandro Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Habib Ali Picavea in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Caldebrazza left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Morro Grande E.C.
