Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thibault Delanoë in the 30th minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the game Pedro Paulo de Senna made a throw-in which Zé Roberto Moreno played forward. 45 minutes into the game, João Carlos Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caldebrazza the free kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Lucian made a kick off. Alessandro Linares made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when João Carlos Mesquita sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves João Carlos Mesquita could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Alessandro Linares however easily saved by the left post. João Carlos Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alessandro Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thibault Delanoë in the 66th minute of the match. Caldebrazza's Stergios Stefanoulis was substituted for Hugo Lucian. After 68 minutes Caldebrazza's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Richard da Fonseca who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Carlos Mesquita got free with Alessandro Linares in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Meng Yu Hui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stergios Stefanoulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Moreno in the 81st minute of play forced Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goalkeeper Meng Yu Hui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
