Malte Örtendahl started the match with the kick off. Nestor Gonzáles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 4 minutes, Zé Roberto Orange mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BRASIL.Sp and the Estação F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. 13 minutes into the match, Nestor Gonzáles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severino Vergílio. Estação F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nestor Gonzáles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Estação F.C's Belmiro Figueiredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zézinho Dracena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Zézinho Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Carneiro in the 21st minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Estação F.C's goalkeeper Severino Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caetano da Silva. In the 30th minute, Ulisses Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zézinho Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Figueiredo in the 37th minute of the match. Nestor Gonzáles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, BRASIL.Sp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Goiano to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, BRASIL.Sp's Renan Sousa got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Falcão Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcinho Félix made a kick off. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when Estação F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Gonzáles in the 52nd minute of play. Zézinho Dracena came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Estação F.C's Malte Örtendahl. But to his dismay, Malte Örtendahl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Severino Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Gonzáles, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Severino Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Estação F.C booed when BRASIL.Sp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estação F.C's Eliseu Cabral was substituted for Belmiro Figueiredo. BRASIL.Sp's Akiba Teben was substituted for Eliézer Lucas. Estação F.C's Wellington Palmeira was substituted for Alex Gomes. If Malte Örtendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BRASIL.Sp's Kazimierz Cichowski was substituted for Marcinho Félix. In the 78th minute, Estação F.C's Wellington Palmeira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wellington Palmeira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Estação F.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wellington Palmeira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The audience was convinced that Akiba Teben's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severino Vergílio was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. BRASIL.Sp's Zézinho Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Örtendahl in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akiba Teben in the 91st minute of play forced Estação F.C's goalkeeper Severino Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazimierz Cichowski in the 92nd minute of play. In the 97th minute Luizinho Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th play minute Luizinho Ramos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zézinho Dracena. 2-3. The Estação F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Estação F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
