An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Lucian in the 4th minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Thommy Jadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes in the game, Mário Maradona dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Alessandro Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Mário Maradona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MINEIROS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alessandro Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hao Zhan Ping in the 21st minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Teodoro Heidemann heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of MINEIROS booed when Caldebrazza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roch Pliszka didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mário Maradona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MINEIROS's Thommy Jadis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save MINEIROS from getting a goal against them. Alessandro Linares came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by MINEIROS's Mário Maradona. But to his dismay, Mário Maradona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 45th minute, Hao Zhan Ping hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Lucian to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Caldebrazza got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Faria. If Hugo Lucian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MINEIROS's Thommy Jadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Moreno in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67thth minute of the game Mário Maradona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alessandro Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mário Maradona in the 75th minute. MINEIROS's Thommy Jadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Moreno in the 78th minute of play. Alessandro Linares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mário Maradona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. MINEIROS's Humberto Severo was substituted for Clóvis Rezende. Miguel Paredes might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alessandro Linares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Paredes ran back to his position shaking his head. Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bon Čáp in the 93rd minute of play. Alessandro Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bon Čáp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MINEIROS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
