Carrapichel - FDFDF's Edson Bertassi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Carrapichel - FDFDF from getting a goal against them. If Rogério Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edson Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Germán Cano sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Carrapichel - FDFDF booed when 27 de Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Neto in the 18th minute of play forced 27 de Mayo's goalkeeper Rogério Soberano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 de Mayo's Claudinei Tasso was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Carrapichel - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Vargas came free, but Edson Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Germán Cano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Germán Cano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Edson Bertassi made a huge save. After 32 played minutes Carrapichel - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Alcântara. 34 minutes into the game, Germán Cano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Edson Bertassi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Germán Cano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edson Bertassi. That made the score 4-0 in the 36 minute of play. Edson Bertassi was a little too slow when Germán Cano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 5-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Acácio Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edson Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germán Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Edson Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germán Cano in the 59th minute of play. If Claudinei Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carrapichel - FDFDF's Allan de Lara was substituted for David Fernandes. Carrapichel - FDFDF's Luís Moldavsky was substituted for Dráuzio Meirelles. In the 64th minute Ernani Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edson Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germán Cano in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, 27 de Mayo's Ernani Vargas got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After some careless play in the Carrapichel - FDFDF defense, Claudinei Tasso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edson Bertassi. The Carrapichel - FDFDF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edson Bertassi should have stopped the shot. Rogério Soberano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Edson Bertassi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Germán Cano went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the 27 de Mayo defense, Allan de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Soberano. The 27 de Mayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Soberano should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, Eriberto Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 98th minute of the match 27 de Mayo got a corner. Carrapichel - FDFDF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bebeto Branco ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Bebeto Branco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Carrapichel - FDFDF's Edson Bertassi did a great save. 27 de Mayo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
