The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Sobral got free with Thommy Jadis in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Predador Brasiliense MZBR's goal looked a bit too open when Eliézer Vianna came free, but Vítor Damas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Sobral came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Thommy Jadis could save by the left post. Vítor Damas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Maradona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Predador Brasiliense MZBR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ricardo Custódio was slow to take the kick. During this time MINEIROS's players had a chance to rest. With his leg Thommy Jadis managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Predador Brasiliense MZBR's António Sobral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's Ricardo Custódio got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The supporters of MINEIROS booed when Predador Brasiliense MZBR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camerino Lavalle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thommy Jadis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If António Sobral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MINEIROS's Thommy Jadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jânio Donatello in the 65th minute of play. MINEIROS made a substitution.
