After 45 played minutes Inazuma Japan got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Maranhense. When Sidney Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the BRC WeeD Dogs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Pimenta couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Renato Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Sidney Pimenta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sidney Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Jacinto in the 60th minute of play. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Bebeto Jacinto hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match.
