The Inazuma Japan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Vieira should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute Gilson Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Osoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Waldemar Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Vieira having to interfere. In the 55th minute Paulo Renato Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Osoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Cayetano Osoitz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 75th minute, Gilson Prestes made a precise shot to the right of Cayetano Osoitz. ＰＡＣＨＥＣＯＥＮＳＥ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 80th minute, Ivo de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the ＰＡＣＨＥＣＯＥＮＳＥ defense, Antônio Aguiar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Osoitz. The ＰＡＣＨＥＣＯＥＮＳＥ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Osoitz should have stopped the shot. Agostinho Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Antônio Aguiar notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of ＰＡＣＨＥＣＯＥＮＳＥ's Cayetano Osoitz. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Inazuma Japan had won after a very even match.
