With an extended leg and a bit of luck Weather Piedrahita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Atletico Maturrango getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Xizavier Varona hit a great ball. Weather Piedrahita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Cordaro in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Papa in the 21st minute of play forced Atletico Maturrango's goalkeeper Weather Piedrahita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Tino made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Florencio Herbella sent off a good shot on target. Florencio Herbella kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. The Club El Progreso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Tino should have stopped the shot. Indiana Jones kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Robert Mikulski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Washington Papa struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Weather Piedrahita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club El Progreso. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Weather Piedrahita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Cordaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Weather Piedrahita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indiana Jones in the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Leonides Ybarbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Maturrango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Ybarbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Enzo Bot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club El Progreso's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Bot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Weather Piedrahita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club El Progreso were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
