C.S.D Punta Ballena's Artzai Tobia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Antonio Florian, made in the 30th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the game, Boguslaw Dziedelonis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boguslaw Dziedelonis in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans-Jürgen Pötscher saved Programayin from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, C.S.D Punta Ballena's goal looked a bit too open when Rosario Martel came free, but Remie Kint reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Alvino Blanco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hans-Jürgen Pötscher. Programayin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvino Blanco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boguslaw Dziedelonis, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Brion Heyros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boguslaw Dziedelonis to strike the kick off in the second half. Conrado Guter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Remie Kint when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 57th minute Boguslaw Dziedelonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remie Kint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Guter in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Conrado Guter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remie Kint was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Remie Kint proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save C.S.D Punta Ballena from getting a goal against them. C.S.D Punta Ballena's attentive Gonzalo Bergessio managed to snatch the ball when Elvio Vásquez made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. Remie Kint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamza Emin in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to C.S.D Punta Ballena getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. The supporters of C.S.D Punta Ballena booed when Programayin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Agüero didn't get a good kick on the ball.
