Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elizardo Massana started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, Sporting Buceo's Isaias Jakue made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lars Batzer was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maureen Franco in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Batzer saved Carqueja from getting behind. Lars Batzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Jakue in the 15th minute of play. Isaias Jakue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's Isaias Jakue sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Batzer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isaias Jakue might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Batzer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaias Jakue ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute Isaias Jakue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Batzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Isaias Jakue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaias Jakue in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Batzer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Isaias Jakue had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lars Batzer. Carqueja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaias Jakue was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Vielva in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Horquizar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Maureen Franco made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Carqueja's goal looked a bit too open when Maureen Franco came free, but Lars Batzer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Isaias Jakue's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lars Batzer was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Lars Batzer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Sporting Buceo's Sebastian Muc was substituted for Filimon Gamburtsev. Lars Batzer was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Isaias Jakue capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Isaias Jakue really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Carqueja's Lars Batzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maureen Franco in the 76th minute of play. After 77 minutes Carqueja's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bordat Vidania who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Sebastian Muc got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lars Batzer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sebastian Muc didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-6 via right post in the game's 77th minute. Sporting Buceo's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Isaias Jakue sped through Carqueja's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lars Batzer. The Sporting Buceo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sporting Buceo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
