An unexpectedly hard shot by Xacobo Barroso in the 15th minute of play forced Saint Sophia's goalkeeper Nedas Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nedas Gol came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by VILLANUEVA FC's Xalvador Mac Kenney. But to his dismay, Xalvador Mac Kenney quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Thanks to some nice moves Marcel Blanco could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Nedas Gol however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Blanco got free with Nedas Gol in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Archibaldo Mundaca struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Nicodemo Recalde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saint Sophia. In the 25th minute Diego Marinkovic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodemo Recalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nedas Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celino Alzerreca in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Saint Sophia's goal looked a bit too open when Xacobo Barroso came free, but Nedas Gol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Higinio Quiroz couldn't finish the play.
