Sonny Hansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Papilio's Ivan Västlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Peres in the 32nd minute of play. After 35 played minutes De Gulden Draak got a freekick which was hit by Dieter Strelow. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Ove Vedholm in the 36th minute of play forced De Gulden Draak's goalkeeper Siim Kikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Manuel Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Västlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Papilio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yngve Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. After 39 minutes of play, De Gulden Draak's Manuel Peres made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Västlund was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ivan Västlund came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by De Gulden Draak's Manuel Peres. But to his dismay, Manuel Peres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Ivan Västlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justin Ostrowicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Manuel Peres sped through Papilio's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Västlund. Papilio's Ivan Västlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justin Ostrowicki in the 54th minute of play. Papilio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Evert Heremans scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Västlund, making the score, 1-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evert Heremans in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Västlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute, Manuel Peres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Västlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Ivan Västlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Ostrowicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Ivan Västlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erwin Backes in the 68th minute. Ivan Västlund was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Evert Heremans capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Evert Heremans really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. With an all-out effort, De Gulden Draak's Ivan Västlund threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Evert Heremans, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
