But to his dismay, Steffen Gimlinge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steffen Gimlinge made a kick off. ORIZABA F.C.'s Richárd Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steffen Gimlinge in the 51st minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Club Universidad Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Kosakowski came free, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as ORIZABA F.C.'s Leoncio Huerta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnoud de Pelsmakere. That made the score 2-2 after 77 minutes of play. 82 minutes into the match, Club Universidad Nacional's goalkeeper Arnoud de Pelsmakere had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauan Rosa.
