Jaime Iago hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Pietro Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olavo Henriques was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Racing Club's Olavo Henriques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Pietro Salles came free, but Olavo Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kosmas Banasopoulos during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Kosmas Banasopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berkan Tufan hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Joaquin Uxio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Pietro Salles made the kick off in the second half. Pietro Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Olavo Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicasio Abad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Remigio in the 57th minute of the match. Godofredo Remigio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Abad having to interfere. Olavo Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Blomkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, George Orwel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Nicasio Abad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 80thth minute of the game George Orwel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Nicasio Abad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s zone, George Orwel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicasio Abad came out of the goal and George Orwel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Orwel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicasio Abad having to make a save.
