The supporters of Santos de Buenos Aires FC booed when AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klas Njurenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Kristoffer Vester ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Melendez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ragnar Wallander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Chucho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Smefeldt in the 28th minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Diego Melendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Klas Njurenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Melendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Xabier took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ragnar Wallander. Ragnar Wallander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Diego Melendez came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by AIF's Kent Smefeldt. But to his dismay, Kent Smefeldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kent Smefeldt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ragnar Wallander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Calvet in the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to Santos de Buenos Aires FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Rodrigo Calvet hit a great ball. Rodrigo Calvet kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Calvet came free, but Ragnar Wallander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ragnar Wallander had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Eulalio Chucho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ragnar Wallander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Regis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eulalio Chucho's late challenge caught a AIF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eulalio Chucho helped the player get up and apologised. Diego Melendez went to the wrong direction when Dan Salqvist was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ragnar Wallander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Calvet in the 83rd minute of the match. AIF's Ragnar Wallander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Suárez in the 87th minute of play. Ragnar Wallander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Xabier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 102nd match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Chucho to maneuver through the defense. The AIF players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Santos de Buenos Aires FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
