The audience was convinced that Steve Whalley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Siim Kikas was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the match, Valiant F.C's goalkeeper David Haigh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronald Breitbücher. If Wesley Coogan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Gulden Draak's goalkeeper Siim Kikas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Haigh was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Nils Kettler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nils Kettler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ellis Thierse during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes De Gulden Draak got a freekick which was hit by Ellis Thierse. In the 48th minute, Zbyszek Bury hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

After a defensive mix-up in De Gulden Draak's zone, Steve Whalley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siim Kikas came out of the goal and Steve Whalley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Ronald Breitbücher who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valiant F.C's David Haigh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the match, De Gulden Draak's goalkeeper Siim Kikas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dale Fawell. Manuel Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Breitbücher in the 94th minute of play forced Valiant F.C's goalkeeper David Haigh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
