Conjunto Paisa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fix Zubiaur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fix Zubiaur took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Siim Kikas. Siim Kikas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Elói Abreu struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Siim Kikas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conjunto Paisa. Tomás Angels short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Siim Kikas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Manuel Peres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lev Yashin was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Frichoso Ondovilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Angel to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Peres in the 78th minute of play forced Conjunto Paisa's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heinrich Rittmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 95 minutes into the match, De Gulden Draak's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Roig came free, but Siim Kikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
