Iosif Amosov charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iosif Amosov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Esperance's Iosif Amosov got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marat Markov in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Nikolay Adabir recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Nikolay Adabir showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 14th minute, Esperance's Iosif Amosov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. During the 16th minute of the match Iosif Amosov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Iosif Amosov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Esperance's Iosif Amosov got a free kick in the 17th minute. Lev Dragovskiy hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timur Belyaninov got free with Zvezdan Nedeljkovic in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Timur Belyaninov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esperance's supporters rose to their feet, but Timur Belyaninov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timur Belyaninov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Marat Markov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marat Markov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After 45 played minutes Esperance got a freekick which was hit by Nikolay Vinogradov. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sreten Popovic made the kick off in the second half. Lev Dragovskiy made in the 52nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Timofey Borisov immediately put the ball in play. 53 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when Nikolay Adabir came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Sreten Popovic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serbia's supporters rose to their feet, but Sreten Popovic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veniamin Vasilevskiy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Serbia defense, Marat Markov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. The Serbia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zvezdan Nedeljkovic should have stopped the shot. After having played for 63 minutes, Timofey Borisov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esperance's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timofey Borisov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when Nikolay Adabir came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marat Markov in the 70th minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72ndth minute of the game Nikolay Adabir who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mikhail Izergin kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Nikolay Adabir succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. 78 minutes into the game, Esperance's Nikolay Adabir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Esperance's Mikhail Lukin was substituted for Nikolay Adabir. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikhail Lukin in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zvezdan Nedeljkovic prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when Mikhail Lukin came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serbia's Momir Gisic managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felix Romanov in the 93 minute of the game. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikhail Lukin in the 96th minute of the match.
