The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yanick Knecht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Rodríguez in the 5th minute of the match. Sílvio Luís Ceresso in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yanick Knecht, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 10 played minutes Pinhote FC got a freekick which was hit by Bart Buckinx. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's Yanick Knecht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Rodríguez in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Sílvio Luís Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar Rosen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Waldemar Rosen struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Yanick Knecht didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinhote FC. Ni Guang Yong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Şimandan, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonas Dahlberg in the 30th minute. Jonas Dahlberg made a great header on LIVIUS UNITED MLS's corner, it was just that Pinhote FC's Ni Guang Yong managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 34th minute Daniel Şimandan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Guang Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 played minutes Pinhote FC got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Rosen. Ni Guang Yong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Dahlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Waldemar Rosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar Rosen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Yanick Knecht made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Dahlberg was the one to do the kick off. Yanick Knecht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Rosen in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the LIVIUS UNITED MLS defense, Waldemar Rosen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yanick Knecht. The LIVIUS UNITED MLS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yanick Knecht should have stopped the shot. In the 56th minute Jonas Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Guang Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yanick Knecht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Távora in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Octavio Cordaryal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Guang Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pinhote FC's zone, Jonas Dahlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pinhote FC's Imre Hellinger got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's Yanick Knecht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Rosen in the 91st minute of play. Pinhote FC's Sílvio Luís Ceresso pulled a muscle in his back after 91 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Eber Ludueña kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Yanick Knecht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Carvalhal, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pinhote FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while LIVIUS UNITED MLS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
