English Fire's Monico Dragomir got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. English Fire's Dragoş Puric played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maciej Bronder in the 42nd minute of play. Pierre-Olivier Lembrechts was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nae Hăvârneanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 43 minute of play. Sven-Edvin Ahlroth kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Zack Astridge took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dragoş Puric. English Fire's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Edvin Ahlroth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Halcon Sport 69 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
