After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Halcon Sport 69! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gillermo Serrano made a kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teofilo Ruete couldn't finish the play. OldHighburyInvincibles were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Halcon Sport 69's much stronger midfield.
