After 19 minutes, Tiago Saldanha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Angrense and the English Fire players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tiago Saldanha hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21stth minute of the game Teodoro Durães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but English Fire's Emanuel Predescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 27 in the game by Ionică Iriza from a close distance when the talented Isac Gusmão managed to make a qualified save. SC Angrense's players were relieved. During the 29th minute of the match Tiago Saldanha completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tiago Saldanha a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tiago Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Nișu in the 31st minute of play forced SC Angrense's goalkeeper Isac Gusmão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Predescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodoro Durães's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as English Fire's Pavel Nișu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isac Gusmão. That made the score 1-1 after 35 minutes of play. Isac Gusmão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Nișu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Jordão Serpa charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordão Serpa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, SC Angrense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordão Serpa to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute of the match Valer Hăulică shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isac Gusmão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 67th minute Ionică Iriza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Gusmão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Durães got free with Emanuel Predescu in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isac Gusmão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Hăulică in the 70th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SC Angrense defense, Manole Silişteanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isac Gusmão. The SC Angrense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isac Gusmão should have stopped the shot. Tomás Abrantes charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Abrantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomás Abrantes hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute of the match Valer Hăulică sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isac Gusmão skillfully saved the ball. If Teodoro Durães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. English Fire's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
