After 7 minutes, Iustin Macavei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the English Fire and the OldHighburyInvincibles players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, English Fire's Emanuel Predescu got control of the ball when Luka Toni tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Luka Toni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Emanuel Predescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manole Silişteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luka Toni got free with Emanuel Predescu in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 played minutes English Fire got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Chiose. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iacob Chiose during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes English Fire got a freekick which was hit by Manole Silişteanu. Luka Toni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Predescu having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in English Fire fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! In the 42nd minute, OldHighburyInvincibles's Luka Toni ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Predescu. Emanuel Predescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Luka Toni made the kick off in the second half. Luka Toni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Predescu having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in English Fire's zone, Luka Toni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Predescu came out of the goal and Luka Toni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anfilogino Colasante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Predescu having to interfere. Iacob Chiose kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Luka Toni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Luka Toni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Predescu. English Fire's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luka Toni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. English Fire's Emanuel Predescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Paolucci in the 76th minute of play. When Iacob Chiose was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. A collision led to English Fire getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Iacob Chiose hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Luka Toni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Predescu. English Fire's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luka Toni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. André Onana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Nișu in the 91st minute of play. OldHighburyInvincibles were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of English Fire for a fine match.
