Toninho Tepedino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of Aracatiara EC booed when SC Angrense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SC Angrense getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Viriato Dias hit a great ball. Giovani Cearense struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Eduardo Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aracatiara EC. Eduardo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Cearense in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Ricardinho Vander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 43 played minutes Aracatiara EC got a freekick which was hit by Elano Loyola. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardinho Vander made a kick off. Alfredo Macena, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Paulino Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. A hard shot 73 in the game by Ricardinho Vander from a close distance when the talented Eduardo Lima managed to make a qualified save. SC Angrense's players were relieved. When Amílton Botelho fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aracatiara EC's protests and gave Amílton Botelho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th match minute, Aracatiara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Vilaça kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jordão Serpa during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87thth minute of the game Jordão Serpa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aracatiara EC's Toninho Tepedino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jordão Serpa in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toninho Tepedino saved Aracatiara EC from getting behind. Aracatiara EC's Toninho Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordão Serpa in the 91st minute of play. If Jordão Serpa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Aracatiara EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
