In the 30th match minute, English Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigi Grigore to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes, Key Biscayne FC's Alfonzo Albrecht shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Predescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Key Biscayne FC reached it. Pavel Nișu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cedric Earl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Emanuel Predescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garret Bland in the 34th minute of play. If Valer Hăulică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonzo Albrecht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garret Bland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Derek Perry was the one to do the kick off. Ionică Iriza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Cedric Earl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, English Fire's Emanuel Predescu got control of the ball when Derek Perry tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 63 played minutes English Fire got a freekick which was hit by Iurie Rădoi. Pavel Nișu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Emanuel Predescu was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Derek Perry capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Derek Perry really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Pavel Nișu succeeded in the game's 84th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Garret Bland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in English Fire's zone, Garret Bland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Predescu came out of the goal and Garret Bland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Although English Fire had been in control for most of the match, Key Biscayne FC still came away with the win.
