After the first half Golden Lions FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mats Nyström was the one to do the kick off. Anders Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timmy Henriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Morgan Vassenius made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Allan Bivall. The throw-in from Igor Dzierwa in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Samurai's Rutger Vallander. In the 88th minute Esbjörn Hultstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anders Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Tsigalko in the 89th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Burç Tokhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vince Di Cola was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
