KFC Cromvelde were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Montechiarugolo AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jakob Gillekens took the corner. KFC Cromvelde's Sam Son was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fortunato Lepori in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The KFC Cromvelde fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when KFC Cromvelde's Tuur Gheysen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Montechiarugolo AFC's Fortunato Lepori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Dem in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Montechiarugolo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Dem came free, but Fortunato Lepori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ali Dem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kim Hendrickx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beppe Rosati's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Montechiarugolo AFC's Fortunato Lepori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Dem in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Hendrik Specht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Montechiarugolo AFC defense, Ali Dem kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fortunato Lepori. The Montechiarugolo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fortunato Lepori should have stopped the shot. The Montechiarugolo AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KFC Cromvelde's performance. The match ended with a win for KFC Cromvelde.
