A collision led to Grêmio Bulls getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Geoff Mullen hit a great ball. In the 16th minute of the match Valdomiro de Godoi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrique Prata showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zenon Cupial showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rowen Doherty in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Sundström in the 18th minute of play forced Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Henrique Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute André Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Sundström in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Prata saved Grêmio Bulls from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro de Godoi in the 22nd minute of play forced Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Henrique Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Valdomiro de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Lehen came free, but Zenon Cupial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdomiro de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Prata having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowen Doherty in the 33rd minute of play forced Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Zenon Cupial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Sundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Henrique Prata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Sundström's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Romulo Lehen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zenon Cupial read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes Romando Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastião Tróia who took care of the corner kick. Romulo Lehen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Zenon Cupial made a huge save. The Grêmio Bulls fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Grêmio Bulls's Rowen Doherty looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Sundström to strike the kick off in the second half. Zenon Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Lehen, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Zenon Cupial took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rowen Doherty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sunday Skinas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grêmio Bulls's Pedrão Prata was substituted for Romulo Lehen. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
