Celestino Gartzi made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gavino Guter. 26 minutes into the match, Los Reyes del Sur FC's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Lopes came free, but Gilberto Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pedro Luiz Souto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Martinez was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the game, Gavino Guter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Luiz Souto to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Los Reyes del Sur FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Guter to maneuver through the defense. Barra EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
