Robustiano Sesuldo came out and tried to block the shot, but Martín Palermo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Robustiano Sesuldo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Metal Juniors's Martín Palermo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Robustiano Sesuldo. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. Damian’s Team's Robustiano Sesuldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Damian’s Team from getting a goal against them. If Martín Palermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute Martín Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Sesuldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robustiano Sesuldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Metal Juniors's Jonatan Dantae to fire away a dangerous shot which Robustiano Sesuldo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santo Traslago made a kick off. Robustiano Sesuldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martín Palermo in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Jonatan Dantae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martín Palermo took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robustiano Sesuldo. Robustiano Sesuldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Martín Palermo succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. 63 minutes into the match, Damian’s Team's goal looked a bit too open when Martín Palermo came free, but Robustiano Sesuldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes of play, Metal Juniors's Martín Palermo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robustiano Sesuldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Damian’s Team's Alex Piedrahita was substituted for Ayoví Angeles. After 71 minutes of play, Metal Juniors's Martín Palermo made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robustiano Sesuldo came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Metal Juniors's Sergio Dennis. But to his dismay, Sergio Dennis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Daniel Păvăloae made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Martin Boix sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th match minute, Damian’s Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Traslago to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Damian’s Team defense, Sergio Dennis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robustiano Sesuldo. The Damian’s Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robustiano Sesuldo should have stopped the shot. After 94 played minutes Damian’s Team got a freekick which was hit by Suscal Urquiaga. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Metal Juniors had played much better football throughout.
