TEIXEIRINHA FC's Doni das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Ixona in the 47th minute of play. After the first half TEIXEIRINHA FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esteban Gentza was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Los Reyes del Sur FC's Gilberto Martinez got control of the ball when Anaia Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Fred Finsberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gilberto Martinez. That made the score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. A collision led to TEIXEIRINHA FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Alan dos Santos hit a great ball. Los Reyes del Sur FC were furious when Tiburcio Maore was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Los Reyes del Sur FC's Hermengildo Vermudo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Gentza in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Martinez saved Los Reyes del Sur FC from getting behind. Marcelo Richie's late challenge caught a TEIXEIRINHA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Richie helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Los Reyes del Sur FC's Marcelo Richie got a free kick in the 93rd minute. If Anaia Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over TEIXEIRINHA FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Los Reyes del Sur FC throughout the match.
