In the 8th minute, SC Angrense's Simão Vilela ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Farès Zarabi. Farès Zarabi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Farès Zarabi made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Mateus Vilela sent off a good shot on target. Kashima Antlers's Farès Zarabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Cavaco in the 14th minute of play. Chaba Sadmi charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chaba Sadmi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, SC Angrense's Aristides Cavaco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Kashima Antlers's Farès Zarabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Cavaco in the 21st minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kashima Antlers's goalkeeper Farès Zarabi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Alfredo Macena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastião Monsanto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faouzi Boniche in the 31st minute of the match. Farès Zarabi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristides Cavaco in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Vilela in the 39th minute of play forced Kashima Antlers's goalkeeper Farès Zarabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes, Robert Maroc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kashima Antlers and the SC Angrense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Farès Zarabi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aristides Cavaco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Farès Zarabi didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SC Angrense's Caetano Curado shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 7-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 58 minutes into the game, Simão Vilela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Farès Zarabi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute, Slimane Kraouche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66th play minutes Aristides Cavaco shot 9-0, a short shot which went by Farès Zarabi and just under the crossbar into goal. A throw-in in the 69th minute of the game was made by Chaba Sadmi with Mustapha Saïd-Guerni as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Álvaro Vilaça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Farès Zarabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Cavaco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Álvaro Vilaça notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Kashima Antlers's Farès Zarabi. Farès Zarabi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 77 minutes of play, SC Angrense's Caetano Curado made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Farès Zarabi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Farès Zarabi came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Angrense's Simão Vilela. But to his dismay, Simão Vilela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. Farès Zarabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Cavaco, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Kashima Antlers's Farès Zarabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Cavaco in the 88th minute of play. After some careless play in the Kashima Antlers defense, Aristides Cavaco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Farès Zarabi. The Kashima Antlers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Farès Zarabi should have stopped the shot. Farès Zarabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Lage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Angrense had played much better football throughout.
