The audience was convinced that Sune Heidal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santos Mino was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 10th match minute, Northern California was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Heriberto to maneuver through the defense. Monks in Robes were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Northern California's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yao Chao Feng took the corner. Yao Chao Feng made a great header on Monks in Robes's corner, it was just that Northern California's Santos Mino managed to reach the ball for a save. Bøje Dyssen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Haritzeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Mino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinar Lennild in the 18th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Monks in Robes got a freekick which was hit by Yin Chen Ling. 23 minutes into the match, Monks in Robes's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Bernaldo came free, but Bøje Dyssen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sune Heidal came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Monks in Robes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sune Heidal couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Bernaldo came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bøje Dyssen could save by the left post. Sune Heidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute Timoteo Frisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bøje Dyssen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sune Heidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Santos Mino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Reinar Lennild hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Sune Heidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Mino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Northern California's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yao Chao Feng was slow to take the kick. During this time Monks in Robes's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Monks in Robes's corner Yao Chao Feng fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santos Mino quite easily take care of the ball. Sune Heidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timoteo Frisco charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timoteo Frisco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Northern California was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Frisco to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sune Heidal to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sune Heidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monks in Robes's supporters rose to their feet, but Sune Heidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Mino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bøje Dyssen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Haritzeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monks in Robes's Sune Heidal got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Northern California getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Leandro Haritzeder hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Jonathan Bernaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bøje Dyssen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute Sune Heidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Mino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sune Heidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th match minute, Monks in Robes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergei Kanner to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Northern California booed when Monks in Robes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Pracki didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Bernaldo in the 79th minute of play forced Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Bøje Dyssen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sune Heidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Mino having to interfere. Monks in Robes's Bøje Dyssen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Haritzeder in the 85th minute of play. Bøje Dyssen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Heriberto in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Northern California's Hector Martxel got a free kick in the 89th minute. Santos Mino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinar Lennild, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
