In the 14th match minute, October 04 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Neron came free, but Narciso Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bonifacio Txerran, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Julian Maidana kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, TALLERES DE CBA's goalkeeper Segundo Nuñez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Eduardo França. After some careless play in the October 04 defense, Gonzalo Klusener kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Guimarães. The October 04 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Guimarães should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Klusener in the 27th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Narciso Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Fabinho Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. October 04's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TALLERES DE CBA the free kick. After a rather tough play, October 04's Fabinho Falcão got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Bonifacio Txerran made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Guimarães. October 04's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to TALLERES DE CBA getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Bonifacio Txerran hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Horácio Aguiar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Segundo Nuñez. That made the score 2-2 in the 35 minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, TALLERES DE CBA's Eugenio Matia made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Narciso Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Reinaldo Carneiro hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 2-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bonifacio Txerran to make the kick off. Eugenio Matia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, October 04's Luís Eduardo França got a free kick in the 61st minute. Eugenio Matia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Narciso Guimarães made a huge save. If Horácio Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugenio Matia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. TALLERES DE CBA's Gilberto Neron got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narciso Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifacio Txerran in the 83rd minute. Gilberto Neron took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Guimarães. Narciso Guimarães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. After 88 minutes, Horácio Aguiar made it 3-5 with a short kick to the right side. TALLERES DE CBA's Segundo Nuñez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute Horácio Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Nuñez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute Eugenio Matia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Segundo Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo França in the 96th minute of the match. TALLERES DE CBA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
