The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Nils Smitt put in a rough tackle. In the 4th minute, Nils Smitt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santos Mino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Ekelund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Miromir Szostak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Mino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Leandro Haritzeder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joachim Holmgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Northern California's Santos Mino got control of the ball when Miromir Szostak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hector Martxel made in the 21st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leandro Haritzeder immediately put the ball in play. 22 minutes into the game, Leandro Haritzeder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Joachim Holmgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 28 minutes into the match, Northern California's goal looked a bit too open when Miromir Szostak came free, but Santos Mino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Hackspett U21's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ye Feng Feng in the 29th minute. After taking down the ball on FC Hackspett U21's corner Ye Feng Feng fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santos Mino quite easily take care of the ball. Santos Mino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miromir Szostak, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Timoteo Frisco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joachim Holmgren. FC Hackspett U21's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timoteo Frisco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. With his leg Santos Mino managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when FC Hackspett U21's Miromir Szostak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The FC Hackspett U21 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Northern California were winning 0-4.

Joachim Holmgren was a little too slow when Jonathan Bernaldo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-5. After a rather tough play, Northern California's Otto Kotto got a free kick in the 60th minute. Timoteo Frisco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Joachim Holmgren made a huge save. After a rather tough play, FC Hackspett U21's Wilhelm Kilberg got a free kick in the 65th minute. FC Hackspett U21's Joachim Holmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Bernaldo in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, FC Hackspett U21's Miromir Szostak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santos Mino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute of the match, Leandro Haritzeder tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joachim Holmgren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 79 minutes into the game, Hector Martxel threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Hackspett U21's Luka Pirlo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Miromir Szostak managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Hackspett U21's supporters rose to their feet, but Miromir Szostak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Mino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Hackspett U21 made a substitution. Kara Melo replaced Göran Ekelund. FC Hackspett U21's Edvard Klemensson was substituted for Ye Feng Feng. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miromir Szostak in the 84th minute of play forced Northern California's goalkeeper Santos Mino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Hector Martxel threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Hackspett U21's Luka Pirlo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
