Robin Olsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy van den Eede, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Jaap van der Schans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Pil's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wieslaw Posadzki got free with Robin Olsen in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niclas Hermansson made in the 20th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Niclas Hermansson. After 21 played minutes Westenenk got a freekick which was hit by Eddy van den Eede. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jim Håkansson made the kick off in the second half. Westenenk's Wieslaw Posadzki got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, Valio Tammisto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Robin Olsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jim Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaap van der Schans having to interfere. Robin Olsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy van den Eede in the 78th minute of play. Lennart Kjellbom's late challenge caught a Westenenk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lennart Kjellbom helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Haymakers FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! Robin Olsen had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Gervasio Lauaxeta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Robin Olsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wieslaw Posadzki in the 82nd minute of the match. After 85 minutes, Sven-Olof Mogren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haymakers FC and the Westenenk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sven-Olof Mogren hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Haymakers FC's Stig-Åke Nyman got a free kick in the 88th minute. With a little luck, Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans got control of the ball when Roger Pil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Lauaxeta in the 96th minute of play. The corner led to Westenenk's Gervasio Lauaxeta getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Westenenk's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
