FC Nereta's Muammer Taşcıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Termander in the 5th minute of play. Muammer Taşcıoğlu came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Eskilstuna's Dan Njurenius. But to his dismay, Dan Njurenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 18th minute Dan Njurenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yan Yu got free with Lars Blom in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dennis Nordgren hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Elliot Termander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muammer Taşcıoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Termander, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th match minute, AFC Eskilstuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Lindström to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of AFC Eskilstuna booed when FC Nereta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Kapstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Yan Yu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elliot Termander to strike the kick off in the second half. The long shot by Martin Källberg in the 53rd minute really tested Muammer Taşcıoğlu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. FC Nereta were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after AFC Eskilstuna's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felix Schuhmacher took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Pavel Tankovich advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 64th minute. When Ilie Slătineanu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the FC Nereta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilie Slătineanu couldn't finish the play. Muammer Taşcıoğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elliot Termander in the 77th minute. Elliot Termander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu made a huge save. When Anatols Putenis fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Nereta's protests and gave Anatols Putenis a yellow card for diving instead. 81 minutes into the match, FC Nereta's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Njurenius came free, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AFC Eskilstuna's Lars Blom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Slătineanu in the 85th minute of play. Elliot Termanders short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Muammer Taşcıoğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Njurenius in the 90th minute of play forced FC Nereta's goalkeeper Muammer Taşcıoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AFC Eskilstuna walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
