The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Modesto Peirano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Muammer Taşcıoğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 5 minutes into the match, FC Nereta's goal looked a bit too open when Hong Hong came free, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Desiderio Cerilo hit a great ball. Felix Schuhmacher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabahattin Erten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Tankovich in the 17th minute of the match. FC Nereta's Muammer Taşcıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Emmanuel in the 20th minute of play. Muammer Taşcıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Peirano in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of United booed when FC Nereta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, FC Nereta's goal looked a bit too open when Hong Hong came free, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabahattin Erten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilie Slătineanu in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute FC Nereta were awarded a corner. Felix Schuhmacher went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Felix Schuhmacher got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sabahattin Erten quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Muammer Taşcıoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolando Bela went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 43 minutes into the match, United's goalkeeper Sabahattin Erten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yan Yu. 44 minutes into the match, FC Nereta's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Peirano came free, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. United were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after FC Nereta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Modesto Peirano took the corner. Sabahattin Erten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yan Yu in the 47th minute. In the 47th minute, Yan Yu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sabahattin Erten. The goal made the score 1-2.

When FC Nereta's Ilie Slătineanu in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 54th minute, Rolando Bela reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Muammer Taşcıoğlu. The goal made the score 1-3. Modesto Peirano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu made a huge save. After taking down the ball on FC Nereta's corner Felix Schuhmacher fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sabahattin Erten quite easily take care of the ball. Modesto Peirano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Muammer Taşcıoğlu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Muammer Taşcıoğlu made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Hernan Emmanuel sent off a good shot on target. When Modesto Peirano came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Peirano couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, United's Muammer Taşcıoğlu threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rolando Bela, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. United's Sabahattin Erten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Slătineanu in the 83rd minute of play. Muammer Taşcıoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Bela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yan Yu charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yan Yu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes FC Nereta got a freekick which was hit by Yan Yu. After 93 played minutes FC Nereta got a freekick which was hit by Rune Kapstad. In the 97th match minute, FC Nereta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Kapstad to maneuver through the defense. Modesto Peirano struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Muammer Taşcıoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for United.
