Válbson Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes S.E YAGOSHOW got a freekick which was hit by Válter Moreira. Monks in Robes's Rupert Give played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Souto in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Leif Sjørlund notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of S.E YAGOSHOW's Tiago Gabriel da Cunha. Tiago Gabriel da Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cipriano Arósio's late challenge caught a Monks in Robes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simão de Senna was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Monks in Robes's Mouritz Søjbjerg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Rupert Give made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão de Senna in the 91st minute of play. Despite being the better team, Monks in Robes failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
